Picea abies 'Inversa' is an evergreen conifer distinguished by its tall growth and strongly pendulous branches. Rather than forming a rigid cone, it develops an upright presence softened by long, trailing shoots that fall close to the main stem. As the plant matures, it gains height steadily, with the weeping branches creating a flowing, vertical silhouette. The needles are dark green and remain on the plant year-round, giving consistent colour and texture. Its appearance is shaped by how it is grown in its early years, but it is always characterised by its cascading form. This variety is best used where height and architectural impact are more important than compactness.
