Pinus sylvestris 'Watereri' is an evergreen pine grown for its compact habit, blue-green needles, and attractive bark. It forms an upright tree with a dense crown when young, gradually developing a more open outline as it matures. The needles are shorter and more tightly arranged than those of standard Scots pine, giving the plant a refined appearance throughout the year. As the tree ages, the upper stems develop warm orange-brown bark, adding further visual interest. This variety is well suited to use as a specimen tree where long-term structure, colour, and low maintenance are important.
