Prunus ROYAL FLAME (PBR) is an ornamental flowering cherry grown for its spring blossom and colourful young foliage rather than fruit. In early to mid spring, the tree is covered in soft pink flowers that open along bare branches, creating a clear seasonal highlight before leaves emerge. As growth follows, new foliage appears in warm bronze-red tones, gradually maturing to green and giving the tree a second phase of interest after flowering. The habit is upright to gently spreading, forming a well-balanced crown that fits comfortably into gardens without becoming oversized. Valued for its combination of blossom and leaf colour, ROYAL FLAME works well as a specimen tree or within mixed planting where controlled size, spring impact, and ornamental character are key priorities.
