Prunus serrulata 'Shimidsu' is a refined ornamental cherry grown for its dramatic late-spring blossom. Rounded buds open with a hint of pink before the flowers expand and gradually lighten to white, creating a soft, layered effect across the canopy. The blooms are produced in generous, drooping clusters, giving the tree a graceful, flowing appearance when in flower. After the display fades, fresh green foliage fills out the branches, later developing seasonal autumn tones. With its elegant structure and extended visual interest, 'Shimidsu' is well suited to use as a specimen tree where its blossom and form can be fully appreciated.
