Skimmia japonica ‘Snow White’
Skimmia japonica ‘Snow White’ is an elegant compact evergreen shrub with dark green foliage and dense clusters of creamy-white flower buds that develop during autumn and provide attractive winter interest. The buds open during spring into small, star-shaped, fragrant creamy-white flowers that are attractive to pollinating insects. Its clean white colouring gives it a softer look than the red-budded Skimmias and makes it particularly attractive in contemporary gardens, white planting schemes and patio containers. ‘Snow White’ is a male variety and therefore does not produce berries.
