Syringa vulgaris ‘Madame Casimir Périer’ is a classic lilac grown for its elegant double flowers and rich spring perfume. In late spring, tall panicles open in soft creamy white, each bloom densely layered to create a full, refined display that brightens the garden without harsh contrast. The fragrance is strong and unmistakably traditional, making this variety particularly effective near paths or seating areas. With a sturdy, upright framework and reliable performance in sunny, free-draining sites, ‘Madame Casimir Périer’ matures into a substantial, long-term shrub that delivers consistent flowering, scent, and structure year after year.
