Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluegold’ is a compact blueberry variety grown for its tidy habit and dependable mid-season harvest. Flowering in spring, it develops steady crops of medium-sized blue berries with a pleasantly sweet, well-balanced flavour. The plant forms a rounded, manageable shrub that suits smaller gardens and container growing, provided acidic conditions are maintained. Its controlled growth makes it easy to integrate into mixed planting schemes without becoming dominant. Beyond fruiting, the foliage provides seasonal interest as it changes colour later in the year. Hardy and consistent, ‘Bluegold’ is a practical choice for gardeners looking for reliable yields from a space-efficient blueberry plant.
